I need to sell two PM naked Samantha's that I aquired at a doll sale put on by Goodwill. So I am asking you guys what would you pay for each one of these dolls. I have had to relist on Ebay them because they didn't sell the first time. I bought them with the intention of keeping them but . . . can't because I have to have work done on my car, that gets priority.
I don't know what to do.

I saw your original auctions and I can't remember what your buy it now prices were but I remember that I thought they were pretty reasonable. I just don't need another Samantha in the house as both my DD and I have one. It could be that people are looking for the outfit as well? I thought the dolls looked to be in pretty good shape. I don't really have any suggestions about doing anything differently. Do you have any extra doll outfits around? Even if they are not Samantha outfits, if you say that the doll is a PM Samantha in another outfit they may sell easily? - Meg B.

The only outfits that I have lying around the house are ones that I have made. My collection of outfit is very thin and much of it PM.

You could always just list them as a regular auction -- that way, you don't have to worry about coming up with BIN amount. Personally, I don't pay more than $50 for a nekkid doll, whether it needs fixing up or not (unless it's one of the retired AGOTs).
I saw your auctions, and the dolls look like they are in good shape. Nekkid Samanthas are going for about $45-50 these days.

I got a beautiful naked PM Sam just over a month ago for $45. Figuring that you could get one brand new for about $50 (what the doll costs after minusing the cost of the outfit, the book, and a 10% discount code), I did good on the price. And American Girl's shipping is usually less than shipping costs on the average ebay auction. It just depends on how bad and for what reasons someone might want a PM doll. I love her to pieces, but to say that just because she's PM she's any better than a new one? That's just a matter of preference.

I have both PM and Mattel dolls because I have been collecting for nearly 18 years. I much prefer much of the PM stuff, better quality and better stuff over all. I like the eyes of PM dolls better because they look more real to me. Now as for the "cost" of a doll, I buy so few dolls that returning the "meet" outfit is pointless. The only dolls I have on my list at the moment are Jess and Nellie. Eventually I would like to get #26 but. . .that can wait, Jess comes first.
I have lowered the price on the dolls in the hope that they will sell.

I just bought a BIN Sam for $65. (She came with 3 other outfits and her 1986 meet outfit too)
I think $40-$50 sounds pretty resonable.
